The original FDA-cleared HIFU lifting procedure. Stimulates collagen at multiple skin depths for visible firmness.
Overview
Ulthera® (Ultherapy®) is the original FDA-cleared
HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) lifting procedure. It precisely delivers
focused ultrasound energy beneath the skin’s surface to stimulate collagen production —
lifting and tightening without surgery, without downtime.
Ulthera is a Newve Signature treatment — refined through Dr. Kim’s
proprietary 3D Custom protocol, calibrated to each patient’s volume map and laxity assessment.
What Ulthera Treats
Brow & Eye Area Lifting
Restores upper-face elevation and opens the eye area.
Cheek & Mid-Face Tightening
Targets nasolabial fold deepening and mid-face descent.
Jawline Definition
Sculpts the lower face and reduces jowls.
Neck Tightening
Addresses neck laxity and “tech neck” wrinkles.
The Science
Ulthera uses focused ultrasound to deliver energy at three precise depths:
- 1.5mm — superficial dermal collagen tightening
- 3.0mm — deep dermis collagen renewal
- 4.5mm — SMAS layer (the same layer addressed in surgical facelifts)
Built-in real-time ultrasound visualization lets the physician see exactly which layer
is being treated — precision that competing devices cannot match.
The Newve 3D Custom Protocol
Standard Ulthera protocols apply uniform shot patterns across the face. We do better.
- Step 1: 3D Mapping — facial assessment identifies areas of greatest laxity vs. volume loss
- Step 2: Custom Density — shot count adjusted per zone (e.g., more shots on jaw if jowl-dominant)
- Step 3: Combined Approach — Ulthera for SMAS lifting paired with Sculptra/Radiesse for volume where needed
- Step 4: Recovery Care — proprietary post-treatment cooling and hydration protocol
